The Tax Collector is responsible for the collection of Real Property Taxes only during the months of January through April, yearly. State legislations require daily cash receipt reconciliation and monthly and annual reports to the Town Board.
The Tax Collector works with the Assessor's Office to aid in updating property information.
Tax Collection Settlement with the County Treasurer's Office is filed in May of each year. Payment of taxes after April 30 must be made directly to the County Treasurer's Office.
