Court is available for arraignment 24 hours a day. Official hours are Wednesday evenings, 7 pm. Town Court trial jurisdiction includes:
- Traffic Violations
- Traffic Misdemeanors
- Criminal Violations
- Criminal Misdemeanors
- Covil Actions
- Small Claims
- Landlord-Tenant Actions
Court has original furisdiction in felony and Family Court cases. The Court holds bench trials as well as jury trials as provided for in the law. When a jury trial is held, residents' names are drawn from a list of potential jurors compiled by the Otsego County Commissioner of Jurors.
The Hartwick Town Justice Court is open to the public and the public is welcome to attend Court sessions. All Court proceedings are held at the Town Hall Courtroom on East Main Street (County Route 11, 1/4 mile north of State Route 28).
