The Dog Control Officers are responsible for enforcing the Town Dog Control Ordinances and New York State Agriculture and Markets regulations for dogs.
New York State requires all dogs over six months to be licensed and vaccinated against rabies. Licenses are obtained at the Town Clerk's Office.
While the Town does not have a leash law, recent legislation prohibits dogs from leaving their owner's property unless under the direct supervision of the owner. A copy of this ordinance can be obtained from the Town Clerk.
